What is indoor rowing?

Indoor Rowing, also known as Erging, short for Rowing Ergometer, the name of the machines, has been widely used as a training aid for rowers for many years. More recently indoor rowing has become a competitive sport in its own right as well as an excellent safe, low impact way for anyone to keep fit regardless of ability.

At Manning Indoor Rowing, we use “Concept 2” rowing ergometers. This machine has become the world standard tool for measuring an athlete’s power output and they are common in boatsheds and gymnasiums around the world. They are also widely used by athletes of all sports for cross training.

Manning Indoor Rowing offers group training classes that are inclusive regardless of your level of physical fitness. The focus of all classes is personal achievement rather than competing against others. All who participate are encouraged to do their best at their own pace. Personal records are celebrated no matter how big or small.

Personal training services are also on offer for those wanting explore their own potential and chase personal gains.

Whether you are chasing a Gold medal or are just wanting to improve your physical fitness, Manning Indoor Rowing can help you achieve your goals in a safe, inclusive and encouraging environment.
