Been a while since I’ve put up a report on the goings on.
Sadly attendance has been down in the last few weeks with a number of regulars feeling the full affects of the flu and some suffering misadventure on bicycles. However there have been a few new attendees and those that have been pushing on have been feeling the benefits.
This last weekend saw a number of regulars brave the cold and apply their new skills on the water. Many Indoor regulars have tried adding water to the experience. If you would like to try out on water rowing by sure to ask your trainer at your next session.
Manning River Rowing Club Membership is now due for renewal. Membership starts from as little as $50 for the year with all members receiving a discount on single visit and 1 month subscriptions to Manning Indoor Rowing Classes. Renew or join before the 12th of August and receive 1 weeks free regular classes. Ask about Manning River Rowing Club Membership at your next class.
Lastly, a number of indoor rowers have had problems with footwear. Some styles of slip on shoes don’t have enough volume in the heel to keep stay in the foot stretcher. Make sure your training shoes have a decent heel to grip into the stretcher. Most running and cross training shoes like in the photo below are suitable. Canvas slip ons may be comfortable for walking but struggle to keep your heel firmly in the stretcher.
